| 12th Night Coronation 20134-6 January 2013Come one, come all and pray attend. On the 5th day of January, Anno Societatis 46, being 2013 in the common reckoning, the reign of Paul and Aryanhwy must come to an end as they cede the Black Dragon Throne to Their heirs. Their Majesties invite all who wish to do so to come witness the succession in the beautiful surroundings of the ancient royal hunting ground known as the New Forest. The event is being hosted by West Dragonshire at the Foxlease Guide Centre, Lyndhurst in Hampshire. The weekend will be filled with pageantry, fighting, feasting and all manner of arts and sciences. This is a site that has been used for a number of events in recent years. Accommodation is split between three buildings, all of which have bunks in varying sizes of bedroom and dormitory, toilets and showers. Each building also has catering facilities.
No bedding is provided, so you will have to bring your own. A limited amount of loaner bedding (pillows, sleeping bags) will be available - please contact the reservations steward. The site is just outside the New Forest town of Lyndhurst in Hampshire. It is easily accessible from the M27 motorway and is served well by trains (Brockenhurst & Ashurst (New Forest)), National Express Coaches (Lyndhurst) and airports (Southampton and Bournemouth). Feast is limited to 120 people. Reservations are on first-come, first-served basis and are not confirmed until payment or travel details are received (see below). Reservations should be sent to the Reservations Steward - Master Raphe Cuthbert, c/o 12thnight@doc2prod.demon.co.uk Please include the following: your SCA name, your real name, your email address and other contact details, your SCA membership number and expiration date, your local group name, any food allergies or dietary issues to pass on to the cooks and any preferences regarding accommodation (e.g. if you require a bottom bunk or would prefer to stay in a quiet area). Reservations for those in the Sterling area are confirmed on receipt of payment. Cheques may be made payable to SCA West Dragonshire and sent to the address below. For those without cheque-books, electronic payment can be arranged, please contact Raphe for details.
