SHIRE OFFICERS

The officers of the shire take care of the day-to-day running of the shire and its activities. Each officer has his or her own area of responsibility as shown below. All officers are volunteers from the populace of the shire.

		Seneschal		Lord Stefan ap Llewelyn
		The representative for the local group in the outside world. Acts as the chief administrative officer, similar to a group's president.  Best contact for all official business with the shire and general enquiries...		seneschal@westdragonshire.org
		Chatelaine		Master Raphe Cuthbert

		Knight Marshal		Lord Duncan Forbes
		In charge of combat activities. Ensures that rules and regulations are adhered to.  Sees to the safety of the participants. Keeps a record of who is authorized locally. Is responsible for seeing that fighters have an opportunity for training.		marshal@westdragonshire.org 07984-988-610
		Minister of Arts and Sciences		Lady Edith of Hedingham
		Coordinates the study and practice of the medieval arts and sciences. See this officer if you have any questions in these areas or want to learn more about one of the skills and crafts.		moas@westdragonshire.org
		Herald		Master Thomas Flamanc
		Assists members in researching their society names and heraldic devices in preparation for submission to the College of Heralds. Acts as Herald (making announcements) at local events.		herald@westdragonshire.org
		Chronicler		(vacant)
		Publishes the group's newsletter, which can range from a simple schedule of upcoming events to a booklet containing articles by local members.  Usually supervises the group website via the Web Minister.		Post is not required for a shire, but if anybody fancies creating/writing a newsletter....
		Exchequer		Master Thomas Flamanc
		In charge of the financial affairs of the group. Also known as the Treasurer or Reeve.		exchequer@westdragonshire.org
		Chirurgeon		(vacant)
		Certified in the modern world in first aid. Usually available at events to provide first aid for minor injuries.
